- The Animal Production Research Center, Khartoum office, was established with the support of American aid in 1963 in the context of settling and stabilizing the supply of the national capital with animal production products within the Coco Dairy Project system and under the General Administration of Animal Production at the Ministry of Livestock (Animal Production Research).
- When the General Corporation for Animal Production was established, the Coco Dairy Project joined the Corporation, while the Animal Production Research Center and its stations continued in the General Administration of Animal Production in the Ministry of Animal Wealth, and then became one of the tributaries of the General Authority for Livestock Research of the Ministry.
